Post Production Editing of Interviews.
This is the process and timeline for editing 2 hours or less film footage during the interview.
Filming in Full HD. Usually an interview will produce up to 50GB of film footage and about 50-60 individual files on the camera card.

Our Process.

Day One (DIT -  Digital Imaging Technologist)
  • Transfer all film footage from camera cards to dual hard-drives for redundancy
  • Review all film footage. Select the best clips (remember the interview process was filmed twice).
  • Rename all files to reflect the questions within each file clip.
  • Place files into named folders ready for Editor.
  • Add Editing notes about camera settings and any further instructions for Editors.
  • Request and Receive from client any images such as logos and design requirements if not already received. Add these to the Post-Production Folder
Day Two (Non-Linear Editor)
  • Read Editing notes
  • Review film footage
  • Cut and place film footage into the Editing Timeline to reflect the clients requested video length.
  • Upload a copy of the rough-cut to Private-secured- Internet for client to review and comment.
Day Three (Senior Editor)
  • Review clients comments
  • Select and Modify Video Template, Lower thirds, Transition graphics to reflect client company colors and requested video style
  • Edit video timeline and adding client change-requests.
  • Add opening graphics, texts, logos, in video texts and graphics if required. Outro texts and graphics. Edit transitions.
  • Sound Design: Select & Add music track, Add Room Ambiance track, modify speech, music and background settings as required.
  • Coloring: Color-Correction. This is sometimes needed as light levels may change if using some natural light.
  • Coloring: Color-grading. This is where a "tint" or color adjustment is made to reflect a specific mood or style. e.g. (Warmth - orange tint, Cool - blue tint etc).
  • Final Polish
  • Delivery to client via uploading to private-internet for client to view and comment.
Day Four (Senior Editor)

  • upload final product to private-internet for client to approve and sign-off
  • Final payments and delivery is arranged and finished.
